Professional Biography

Efrem joined Lex Pacifica in July 2007 after spending 7 years as an associate at a litigation boutique firm in Vancouver where he gained broad experience in large-scale litigation and professional regulation. Efrem brings to Lex Pacifica experience in civil litigation, administrative law, professional negligence, class actions, employment law and insurance defence.

Prior to beginning the practice of law, Efrem served as a law clerk to the Honourable Mr. Justice Finch (now C.J.B.C.) and the Honourable Mr. Justice Lambert at the Court of Appeal for British Columbia. 

Selected Legal Experience

• Co-counsel in Sharbern v. Vancouver Airport Centre, 2007 BCSC 1262, the first class action in B.C. to go to full trial on the merits; 
   

• Co-counsel for the Law Society of British Columbia in various discipline matters. Efrem has also authored and presented discipline reports to the Law Society Discipline Committee; 
   

• Co-counsel representing an international insurance company in the settlement of a multi-million dollar food recall claim; 
   

• Co-counsel defending solicitors in the settlement of a multi-million dollar collapse of a mortgage investment company;
